FAQ - STOCKING LEVELS

GENERAL PRINCIPLES:-  Any and every item we list on our website is a standard stock item that we expect to be able to supply on a regular and permanent basis.  The only exceptions are items that are noted as "one-off" or "end-of-line".

OUT OF STOCK:- Any item that is out of stock falls into one of two categories

Where we have run out you will see that we give an ETA (estimated time of arrival) of our next shipment of that particular stock item.  Where our supplier has run out we list the item as "OUT OF STOCK - new stock ETA unknown".  This does not mean that we will never be able to source the item again - but it does mean that there will be a delay while our suppliers sort themselves out and / or while we source an alternative supply.

WEBSITE UPDATES:-  The main reason for the Jan 2006 website re-build was to allow us to update the site regularly and easily.  The site is now updated daily so now stocking info will never be more than 24 hours old.  New stock will generally be listed during weekends.

BACKORDERS:- very occasionally items will be marked on your invoice as "to follow" - we will only do this if we are certain that the item in question will be with us in a few days time.  Backorders are ALWAYS serviced before new sales.  And you may always have a refund instead.

MY INVOICE HAS BEEN HAND-ANNOTED "OUT OF STOCK - REFUNDED":- our priority is getting your parcel out to you ASAP - sometimes we run out of an item during the day your order is being processed.  Under these circumstances - instead of returning your invoice to admin for re-typing and delaying the dispatch of your parcel - we simply note the situation by hand and get your parcel packed and on its way to you as fast as we can.
